Privacy.
This site collects as little as it can: your email address if you subscribe, what you send us, and anonymous page counts. No cookies, no ad trackers.
If you subscribe to The Decision Memo
We keep your email address to send you the memo, one email per episode, and nothing else. We don't sell or share the list. The newsletter is sent by beehiiv, which stores the list for us and processes it under its own privacy policy. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from sending.
If you suggest a decision
The suggestion form sends what you type, and the source link if you add one, to our inbox by email. We use it to choose future episodes and don't publish it with your name.
Page counts
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites. We see totals like page views and referring sites, not individual visitors.
Video
Episode pages show a still image until you press play. Only then does the page load YouTube's player, in its privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to what you watch there.
On your device
If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice locally. It never leaves your device.
